My Makeup Basics...

allo,

I know that everyone has different products in a bag... but one thing I can live without is my makeup bag; it has my basics to put on my look.. The makeup in my bag rotates depending the season and most of my wardrobe. 

the makeup bag I use is by e.l.f., but they no longer have it. it is a cool  bag that is magnetic and can be used in many ways. it includes a side to hold brushes with ease and a mirror above it. on the opposite side is a mess pouch to add more brushes(that is where i keep all of my brushes).

since it is magnetic, you can use the center as a clutch to hold your basics to refresh your look and hold other little things.

but in my bag:

• U.D. Smoked Palette
• has great colors to make many day to night looks
• NARS Concealer 
• to touch up any blemishes and clean up edges
• Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo
• I have most of the colors offered by this brand line. I love these because you can use them as a base or as the shadow of your choice. Currently I have: Ready, Set, Green: Electric Blue: Pomegranate Punk; they change depending on my mood or what I am wearing. I would defiantly recommend this product to everyone!!!
• Eyeliner
• I know that everyone has their own favourite eyeliners whether it is liquid, cream/gel/ or kohl pencil. I use the Maybelline Studio gel eyeliner in Blackest Black and the Stiletto liquid in Blackest Black.
• Mascara  
• I love using the Maybelline Big Lash in Blackest Black and the waterproof so it some running off.
• U.D. eyeshadow in Mushroom
• I LOVE THIS SHADOW!!! I used it all out of the Smoked palette that I bought the single and keep with me. it is my go to shadow with liner and lashes. <3
• Real Techniques Brushes
• last but certainly not least, these brushes are great for many tasks. I use the deluxe crease brush for concealer and the lip detailer brush for liner. the brushes are plush synthetic bristles for a smoother makeup application.

now I know that is what I carry, but it is seasonal and it is what I like.. all of the products but U.D. can be purchased at a drugstore near you...

End of the Semester: a guide to get through it all

So it's that time of year again. For those in college it's the end of semester. Which we all know means stress, lack of sleep, freaking out, more stress, more lack of sleep, procrastination, oh and did I mention stress?   At this point many of us just want to end the semester and get through our finals without completely going insane .    Maybe you need help handling all the stress or maybe you're here because that 12 page paper is not working for you. But whatever  the reason here are a few  tips of mine to get through those last three weeks of the semester. 
     The first thing you want to do is relax! Relaxation is the key especially around this time. Take a break from studying or writing those term papers. While yes, it is necessary for you to finish those tasks. It is also important to take time away from those things as well. That time you spend relaxing not only helps your mind get off of the tasks that are stressing you out but,  its helps you take a step back and rationalize everything that is going through your mind as well. Go for a walk, take a quick nap , talk to a friend or even just sit back light a soothing candle and go cuddle up with a blanket and a hot mug of hot chocolate . Remember its okay to relax during this stressful time . Your health and happiness should be the most important thing for you . 
     Besides remembering  to relax plan out the next few days or even the next few weeks!  Planning things out and making a daily schedule will help you out a great deal if you have a planner great ! If not just set a reminder on your phone or even dare I say use a pen or pencil and write it down in a notepad or sticky note. By making a schedule during this time it will help you plan out every you need to do. From waking up to eating a meal, studying and going to bed. While yes planning everything out from hour to hour may be a little extreme it might just help you get every task you want to get done. If planning things out like that stress you out even more just write the things you would like to get done that day. Do that and don't set a time limit meaning don't feel obligated that you need to get something done by a certain time . Instead write what you would like to get done and take your time if you don't get everything done don't fret just put it on the top of your list for the next day. I promise you it will get done and you will feel like you accomplished something . 
    Remembering to sleep is another important tip I am going to give you all. While yes it is the end of the semester and you have one million and one tasks to do you need to remember to get a good nights rest. You want to stay sane these next few weeks . Don't think you can't or don't have time to sleep trust me you do and your mind and body will thank you for it. People our age need at least 8 hours of sleep each night. It's easy to get caught up in everything and just go through the motions of doing things without thinking. 

I hope these things help you get through the end of the semester! and don't you fret none everything will be alright just relax and take a deep breath you will get through this.

Bath & Body Works

BLACK FRIDAY!!!

 Today was Black Friday and I went out with Clare today looking for a tablet but instead we went shopping at B&BW(Bath & Body Works). I went in for one thing and walked out with a small bag of goodies... 
Walking into the store, you smell different scents from peppermint to sugar cookies. On either wall are the signatures scents from Japanese Cherry Blossom to Forever Midnight, which is a new scent...
With it being the holiday season, you can buy candles, mini-hand sanitizers, body sprays, and perfume. Great minis from the signatures collections act as great stocking stuffers; candles for the person in your life that loves to burn many scents; different soaps and body lotion for every season.
  Clare and I each bought different things and are going to share our thoughts about each item; also we each bought the same item to share our thoughts of the same thing.

2. Farmstead Apple PocketBac: The scent reminds me of fall. Doesn't remind me of regular clear hand sanitizer. Country Chic fine fragrance and fragrance mists and body lotion: Going to  North Carolina as a child, the smell of the countryside smells like peace and calm; this scent reminds me of where my mom's southern roots. I bought the fine mist(which is the tall bottle), the mist(which is the travel bottle), and the travel body lotion. The travel mist and lotion are good to keep in your purse, car, anywhere that you can store small things on the go.  Now the scent that we both bought was the Forever Midnight- which is a new scent. We both walked past the display and went back to smell it. Let me tell you when I say I love it, I LOVE IT!!! I will go back and buy the bigger bottle. Both Clare and I say that this reminds us of a "man".
